CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The editor of The Daily Tar Heel said he is investigating after a spoof issue was distributed.

A few thousand copies of newspaper were wrapped Tuesday in a spoof front-page version labeled as the "special anti-racist issue."

"Our paper was wrapped in a sheet mimicking the DTH, with articles about Youth for Western Civilization, Tom Tancredo and racism," Managing Editor Kellen Moore wrote in an e-mail to WRAL. "For the most part, it didn't seem directed specifically at the DTH, although there were a few jabs."

Editor Andrew Dunn said the actions were in violation of the school’s honor code and that appropriate measures will be taken against the person responsible. He wrote a blog about the incident on the paper's Web site under the headline: "We got pranked."
