FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Cumberland County were searching early Tuesday for two Fayetteville men who detectives say are responsible for sexually assaulting and robbing three women over the weekend.

Cedric Maurice King, 27, of 685 Barton's Landing, and Clifton Lamar Hayes, of 1148 Nan St., allegedly drove their victims to a wooded area in the county and forced them to perform sexual acts.

King is wanted on two counts of first-degree forcible sexual offense, common law robbery, conspiracy and communicating threats. Hayes is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual offense, common law robbery and conspiracy.

Cumberland County authorities began investigating three crimes over the weekend on Friday evening after a woman reported being kidnapped at gunpoint near dusk in the Eutaw Village Shopping Center parking lot off Bragg Boulevard.

Authorities said two men took her to a rural part of the county, where she was raped, robbed and left in the area.

Two other women reported similar crimes, but in those cases investigators said they willingly left with the men. One was picked up Sunday near the intersection of Murchison Road and Pamelee Drive, and the second case happened Sunday in an area near Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Authorities said Tuesday that King and Hayes are considered to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts should call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at 910-323-1500 or 911.
