DURHAM, N.C. — Dozens of people camped out overnight to get their hands on fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts in Durham.
The newest Krispy Kreme location in the Triangle, at 3535 Hillsborough Road, opened its doors at 6 a.m. Tuesday, and the first 100 people in line got a special treat – a free dozen doughnuts every month for one year and a T-shirt.
Krispy Kreme, which is based in Winston-Salem, first opened its doors in 1937.
