Creedmoor advises residents to boil water

Posted July 27, 2011

— Local officials advised some Creedmoor residents to boil water Wednesday after a water main break led to a drop in pressure.

The water line broke at N.C. Highway 56 and Robertson Creek, near the entrance to the Golden Pond subdivision, officials said.

Crews are expected to finish repairing the line by 8 p.m., but officials said residents should boil water as a precaution until water pressure returns to normal and tests show no bacteria have gotten into the system.

The advisory was only for residents east of Robertson Creek, including the Southerbys, Paddington and Golden Pond subdivisions.

Any water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth and making ice should be boiled for one minute to kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water, officials said.

Hardly; aside from the financial chaos, the unnecessary deaths of thousands of fine young Americans and innocent foreign nationals, the two uncalled for wars, the torture chambers, death camps and the trashing of the constitution, Bush was a pretty good president.

One of the few times I'm glad we have well water. Question is, will traffic be backed up at 5:30 when I try to get through there?

    Step#1: pour water into pot
Step#2: place filled pot outside in the sun
Step#3: water should start to boil shortly

105 degrees on Friday...c'mon Fishel....quit joking around and bring the snow.

Yes - Creedmoor and Butner pay way too much for water and sewer. My wife and I spend $75 per month and it's just the two of us. We don't wash our cars or water plants...and we buy bottled water to drink.
