Crack bust yields 10-year sentence for Knightdale woman

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — A federal court sentenced a Knightdale woman to more than 10 years in jail and five years probation for the sale of crack cocaine.

Saundra Dean Evans, 37, pled guilty July 8 to aiding and abetting the distribution of more than 50 grams of cocaine base (crack).

Knightdale police found 135 grams of crack cocaine, $76,741 in currency and two stolen semi-automatic firearms in an October 2008 raid of Evans' home.
