<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Cornwallis Road in Durham remained closed Wednesday evening as crews work to repair a power pole, said Kammie Michael, a police department spokeswoman.

A vehicle hit the pole, between South Roxboro and Weaver streets, causing the damage.

Two people from the car were taken to Duke University Hospital for treatment, Michael said. She didn't identify the people or say how serious their injuries were.
