RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County commissioners on Monday questioned school board members on their plans to build new schools.

Disagreements between commissioners and the school board have held those plans up. School staffers say any further delays could affect the scheduled openings of those schools.

The meeting came as both groups promised to improve relations with each other. They will have another joint meeting on Friday.
