Clayton teen reported missing

Clayton police were searching Thursday for a 17-year-old missing since the beginning of the week.

CLAYTON, N.C. — Clayton police were searching Thursday for a 17-year-old missing since the beginning of the week.

Mark Alexander Linker, 17, was last seen in his front yard at 401 Charleston Drive around 3 p.m. Monday.

Police said his family moved to Clayton two months ago, and they believe he might be with friends in the Cary area.

Linker is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, black zip-up hoodie and blue jeans. He might be carrying a dark green UNCG backpack.

Anyone with information about Linker's whereabouts is asked to call Clayton police at 919-553-4611 or your local law enforcement agency.
