CLAYTON, N.C. — A Clayton High School teacher has been cleared after police investigated reports that he inappropriately touched a female student.

Clayton police said Friday that investigators consulted with the Johnston County District Attorney's Office and decided to not file any charges against the teacher.

A 17-year-old student told police in March that the teacher touched her inappropriately on her leg and on her side to tickle her.

Johnston County Schools took confidential disciplinary action against the teacher. His name and the disciplinary action wasn't released.
