— A Clayton High School teacher has been cleared after police investigated reports that he inappropriately touched a female student.

Clayton police said Friday that investigators consulted with the Johnston County District Attorney's Office and decided to not file any charges against the teacher.

A 17-year-old student told police in March that the teacher touched her inappropriately on her leg and on her side to tickle her.

Johnston County Schools took confidential disciplinary action against the teacher. His name and the disciplinary action wasn't released.

incredibly ironic (not really) that WRAL doesn't have this as huge front page news. it's not as good as when someone gets the book thrown at them

If everyone will look, this story includes a link to the original story, which never gave a name or position for this teacher. This is in total contrast to the coach at CHHS. Why does one teacher remain anonymous and the other has been villified?

What else has this young lady lied about? Her lies will eventually catch up with her. Then she will see the real consequences and it will not be sweet.

she last left that she made it all up.

There should be some kind of consequenes to this young lady. She falsely accused this teacher and possibly ruined his career in some way. What is her parents saying about this? Is that the daughter they raised?

All it takes is the accusation these days. Guilt or innocence doesn't seem to matter anymore.

Will the young lady be charged for falsely accusing the teacher?

  • charmcclainlovesdogs2 Apr 23, 2012

How is the young lady feeling now that the teacher was cleared of these charges?

I am glad this teacher was cleared. He needs to be more careful from now on....NO TOUCHING AT ALL!

Now if they would clear the wrestling coach at Corrinth Holders --> Obviously, there is more "bulk" to the Corinth Holders' coach incident. Surely, you don't think because they "cleared one", they should "clear them all".
