Child killed near Clinton Wal-Mart
Witnesses say the child ran into a lane of traffic, tripped and fell underneath the back tire of a passing vehicle in the Sunset Avenue parking lot.

The Fayetteville Observer on Monday reported that the child was Jahmre Robinson, of Roseboro.
Jahmre ran into a lane of traffic in the Sunset Avenue lot, tripped and fell underneath the back tire of a passing vehicle, witnesses told police.
The driver of the car was not speeding, according to witnesses. No charges have been filed. The child died at Sampson Regional Hospital, police said.
Police withheld the names of the child and driver. Officers said they would reconstruct the accident as part of their investigation.
