Checkpoints Net 120 Charges

— Deputies issued citations for 120 motor-vehicle violations at checkpoints across Wake County Saturday night.

Ten drivers were arrested for driving while impaired, said Phyllis Stephens, the Wake County Sheriff's Office public-information officer.

Seven people were charged with driving with a revoked license, while 12 were cited for driving without a license.

    Big deal.

    As we've learned from a previous article here on WRAL, these people are probably right back on the roads right now, driving with their license revoked. They will do so because the joke of a punishment attached to the crime makes it worth the risk and convenience of continuing to drive.
