<b>PITTSBORO, N.C.</b> — Chatham County deputies have charged a 15-year-old with shooting at cars north of Pittsboro, authorities said Friday.

Three vehicles were shot at Monday evening on U.S. Highway 15/501 near Hamlet’s Chapel Church Road, authorities said. A tip led them to a nearby home, where they took the unidentified teen into custody and seized a pellet gun.

Damage to the vehicles included holes in the side panels and broken windows.
