<b>CHAPEL HILL, N.C.</b> — Chapel Hill police said a missing 13-year-old who went missing Wednesday afternoon was found safe.

Deepmala Ford-Williams, 13, was last seen at about 4:15 p.m. in the area of Phillip Middle School at 606 North Estes Drive.

Authorities said she returned hom safely just after 6 p.m.

"There's no threat. There's no firearm," Deputy Chief Rico Boyce said at the press conference. "A student made the principal aware that there's someone on campus with a firearm."
