Chapel Hill police search for robbery suspect

— Chapel Hill police are trying to identify a man involved in an armed robbery on Cobblestone Court on Thursday afternoon.

The man approached the victim after the two exited a Chapel Hill Transit bus, police said. The man produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet and iPhone. The robber then fled the area on foot.

Police said the robber is described as a black man, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build and short hair.

Calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential and anonymous, and the caller may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

    GLAD I am DONE with that creepy parking in some boon dock location, just to try to catch a bus to get to UNC/ and a job. Lived it and lived through it thank heavens. Don't miss it one iota!
