Chapel Hill library expands hours, sets September program schedule
The Chapel Hill Public Library, now in much newer and bigger digs after a renovation and expansion project, is expanding its weekend hours, which means it now can offer some special weekend programming.

Starting Saturday, the new weekend hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m., Sundays. Here are some of the events scheduled at the library in September:
- Family Story Time, Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Puppets with Pat, Sunday, Sept. 15, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Rhythm & Rhyme Time, Sunday, Sept. 22, from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- LEGO Club Kickoff, Sunday, Sept. 29, from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
- Fancy Nancy Tea Party, Monday, Sept. 30, from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Also ... the library is collecting LEGO bricks for its LEGO Club. If you have unused LEGO bricks in a box somewhere, they'd love to have them. You can contact the library at 919-968-2778.
