A Cary woman has been charged with assault after authorities said she stabbed a man with a kitchen utensil Sunday afternoon.

CARY, N.C. — A Cary woman has been charged with assault after authorities said she stabbed a man with a kitchen utensil Sunday afternoon.
Authorities said the woman stabbed the man inside a home at Cheswick Place at about 4:15 p.m.
The man was taken to WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries, authorities said.
Authorities did not release the identities of the man and woman involved or confirm how they knew each other.
