— Cary Police are looking for a 40-year-old woman who was reported missing by her roommate after she didn't show up for work Friday.

Donna McLeod, 40, of Windance Court, is a white female, 5-feet 9-inches tall, 160 pounds with brown eyes and dark brunette to brown hair with a white streak on the right side, police said.

She was last seen driving a white 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with a North Carolina 30-day tag #15582784.

“McLeod’s disappearance appears to be unusual, and we are asking anyone with information related to her whereabouts to contact us,” said Lt. Randall Rhyne.

Anyone with information about McLeod’s whereabouts should contact the Cary Police Department Watch Commander at 919-469-4012.

Anyone see the N&O article on how missing white females are reported more frequently by the media but statistically are not missing more frequently than minorities or men?

Hoping for her safe return, and the return of all missing persons. Each of them has a family somewhere who is aching for them to return home.

warrior, thank you. yes, I have been by my phone all day and there is no new information. Friends have hung fliers everywhere and visiting places she would frequent. As soon as I know something I will post, and if volunteers are needed I will let you know. In the meantime, just tell everyone you know. maybe someone will have information.

hurricane or anyone that might hear, if something comes up where there is a need for people for a search or anything of that sort of type, (I pray not but just in case) please come on here and let us all know the information or a link or legit phone number so we can assist in some way.

Praying for her safe return or that this was just someone who wanted to get away and didn't tell anyone,

amvaugha----if a missing adult is so unimportant to you, why did you bother to comment with your useless drivel? Here's hoping you don't feel guilty about your stupid remark in time.

This message is for amvaugha. If you should go missing, we won't bother making any comments, since you don't think a missing adult is very important. I have NEVER posted a comment on this site, but that has to be one of the "COLDEST" remarks I've ever read on here.

Let's not make a joke about this womans' disappearance; but, there are alot of questions that wasn't addressed like why haven't we learned more about this woman until now.
Either way, I hope she returns safely and soon.

I hope she did not go shopping at Tower Shopping Center and run into the guy that was hiding in cars and robbing women last week. I'd ask that guy about her disappearance.

Why is it that when someone hasn't seen an adult in a couple of days it is automatically suspicious? Couldn't it just be that she wanted to get away? Can we also focus on missing children instead of devoting headline time to an adult? I know it sounds cold but I think the missing children are more imporatant.
