Police are searching for the suspect in an April 1 gas station robbery who was filmed wielding a knife and wearing bright purple rubber gloves.

— Police are searching for the suspect in an April 1 gas station robbery who was filmed wielding a knife and wearing bright purple rubber gloves.

Surveillance photos from the High House Food Market at 832 Old Apex Road, Cary, showed a man jump the counter and steal money from the station, Cary police said. The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect wore black pants and a black hooded coat with gray mesh on the shoulders. He also covered his head and mouth.

    Well, there's a robber who knows how to accessorize!

    Seriously, my first thought was that it might be someone who has access to medical equipment, but then realized that gloves of this sort are intended for many purposes and can be purchased at a variety of places.

    The folks from this gas station should consider private security as this is not the first time the place as been robbed... and the crooks know the place is pretty much unprotected.
