CARY, N.C. — The Town of Cary will cast a wide net to seek a new town manager.

The Town Council has hired a Georgia-based search firm to identify candidates. A local consultant will then vet those selections. The process is expected to cost $35,000.

Assistant Town Manager Ben Shivar is serving as interim town manager since the October retirement of Bill Coleman, who held the position for 14 years.
