Cary man given $1 million bond after authorities find child porn depicting infant

A Cary man is facing several charges of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after authorities found multiple files containing child porn on his computer.

CARY, N.C. — A Cary man is facing several charges of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after authorities found multiple files containing child porn on his computer.

According to an arrest warrant, more than a dozen files containing child porn were found on a device belonging to Steven Leonard Millard Jr. Some of the videos depicted children as young as 6 months old, the warrant states.

The files were downloaded between October 2015 and April 2018, according to the warrant.

Millard, 29, was being held under $1 million secured bond.

Upon release, Millard was ordered to have no contact with any person under the age of 18 without adult supervision, the warrant states.

State officials confirmed to WRAL News that Millard worked as a correctional officer at Central Prison before resigning on April 11.
