CARY, N.C. — A Cary man was arrested Thursday on sex-related charges involving a child stemming from allegations from April 2009.

William Miller Baker, 32, of 500 N. Benson Court, was charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child and one count of attempted first-degree rape of a child by an adult.

According to an order for Baker's arrest, he was already in the Wake County jail, where he's been since an arrest in December 2011, when it appears he was arrested on a charge of attempted first-degree rape.

Details about what led police to arrest Baker weren't clear Thursday night, but an arrest report states that the latest charges are the result of an indictment.

Baker's bond on the new charges is $1 million; he was already being held on a $250,000 secured bond.

He's scheduled to be in court on Friday.
