Cary Council approves contract to bring 350 high-paying jobs
Cary town leaders voted 6-1 Tuesday evening in favor of a development incentives contract aimed at bringing hundreds of high-paying jobs to the area over the next four years.
Posted — UpdatedThe contract, according to an item on the Town Council meeting agenda, will set aside $50,000 in grant money to convince an unidentified company to call Cary home.
Town leaders say it would create 350 jobs, with an average salary of $91,600, by 2016.
"The town believes this project will help stimulate the local economy, result in new capital investment in real and personal property in the town and create a substantial number of new, permanent jobs in the town," according to the agenda.
