APEX, N.C. — A woman accidentally drove through the front door of a credit union in Apex around noon Wednesday, police said.

The woman, 87, was stopping to check if the North Carolina State Employees' Credit Union at 1056 Vision Drive, off Williams Street/N.C. Highway 55, was open, officers said.

As she pulled into a parking space,  she hit the gas pedal, instead of the brake, rolling right through the front doors.

The bank was closed for Christmas Eve, so business was not disrupted. The woman, whom police did not identify, was not injured. Police said no charged will be filed.
