Car crashes into Raleigh apartment

Posted July 30, 2013

— A car plowed into an apartment on Poole Road in Raleigh Tuesday afternoon, but no one was seriously injured.

The driver's family members say she was driving down Poole Road, near Rawls Drive, when another vehicle cut her off. She swerved to avoid a crash, and went down an embankment into the side of the brick building. She was banged up, but is expected to be okay, her family said.

No one was in the apartment at the time.

Police are still investigating the wreck.

I thought "Time to hit the bricks" was just an expression (for bed time).

chrisnrail - The apartment buildings aren't far from the road and she went down the embankment leading to them.

If she'd been on the highway and somehow hit a building then I'd both agree with you and be impressed, but it could have happened to anyone.

Someone please please please take this persons keys and license! If you swerve to avoid an accident and run into a BUILDING, you should not be allowed to operate anything with wheels.
