Car crashes into Durham fire hydrant

— A car crashed into a fire hydrant in the 200 block of Lynn Road in Durham early Thursday, temporarily creating a geyser of water.

Firefighters said the wreck happened shortly before 3 a.m. No one was injured.

Crews had mostly repaired the fire hydrant about 1½ hours after the wreck.

    Obviously you thought this was news. I read about it also, and thought about the three stooges or the keystone cops. I like wral.com for this very reason: mundane neighborhood stuff like this to lighten the day.
