AUSTELL, GA. — A Camp Lejuene-based Marine was killed Saturday in a wrong-way crash in Austell, Ga.

Bruce Joseph Quayle, 71, was driving a Chevy Silverado eastbound in the westbound lane of Interstate 20, near Six Flags Drive, when the truck hit a Mitsubishi Mirage head-on, authorities said.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, Lance Corporal Gregory M. Suedmeyer, 21, of Camp Lejeune, died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the crash, authorities said.

His wife, Katelyn Suedmeyer, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was transported by helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition Sunday.

Quayle was also transported to a hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Authorities said charges against Quayle have not yet been filed. The accident is still under investigation
