Two active-duty and one former Camp Lejeune sailors have been arrested in connection with the killing of a father and son outside their Beaufort home earlier this month.

BEAUFORT, N.C. — Two active-duty and one former Camp Lejeune sailors have been arrested in connection with the killing of a father and son outside their Beaufort home earlier this month.

WNCT News reports that Duane Correll, 50, and Albert Correll, 20, were shot and killed outside their home on Taylor Farm Road around 9:45 p.m. on June 2 as they returned from a shopping trip to Walmart.

On Friday, authorities arrested U.S. Navy corspmen Jhaden Davis, 21, and Brandon Smallwood, 23, along with Joseph Pirrotta, 24, a former Navy corpsman living in Beaufort.

Davis and Pirrotta were charged with two counts of murder and one count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. They were placed in the Carteret County jail and denied bond.

Smallwood faces two counts of accessory after the fact of murder. He was given a $1 million bond.
