<b>CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C.</b> — A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed on Wednesday in Afghanistan, military officials said.

First Lt. Brandon A. Barrett, 27, of Marion, Ind., died while supporting combat operations in the Helmand province. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune.
