Cameron man accused of raping woman he knows

A Cameron man was in jail Friday after being accused of raping a woman he knew personally.

CAMERON, N.C. — A Cameron man was in jail Friday after being accused of raping a woman he knew personally.

Harnett County sheriff's deputies found Christopher Rudolph Williams, 22, after distributing a wanted poster asking the public for assistance in finding him. He is accused of rape, first-degree sex offense and kidnapping.

The charges are in relation to sexual assaults that happened Dec. 8 and 9 near the 100 block of Sugar Hill Lane, which is the address listed as Williams' residence.

Williams is a registered sex offender in North Carolina as a result of convictions in the Kennesaw, Ga., area. No other information was released.
