PSNC Seeks Rate Increase
RALEIGH, N.C. — PSNC Energy has asked permission to lower its rates for natural gas by 12 percent in November, a company spokeswoman said.

The North Carolina Utilities Commission must approve the rate cut, which comes in response to lower wholesale prices for natural gas.

The lower price would amount to about $12 worth of monthly savings for a typical residential customer, PSNC spokeswoman Angie Townsend said.

About 40 percent of Triangle residents are PSNC customers.
