Rocky Mount call center to add 175 jobs
West Corp. plans to hire more than 175 full-time people for its Rocky Mount customer service call center, officials said Wednesday.

The Omaha, Neb.-based company said the new positions are the result of increased demand from a major cable television provider. The workers, who will earn $10 per hour plus incentives, will help callers with inquiries about existing cable accounts.
West plans to host job fairs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 3-4 at the Rocky Mount employment office, at 1974 Stone Rose Drive. People also can apply at www.westemployment.com or in person from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays or 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays.
