Durham ad agency lands Nationwide account

Durham-based advertising agency McKinney announced Monday that it has landed the account for Nationwide insurance and financial services.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham-based advertising agency McKinney announced Monday that it has landed the account for Nationwide insurance and financial services. McKinney will provide creative and media services for the insurer in traditional and new media, including campaigns for mobile and social media, according to a press release issued by Nationwide.

"McKinney has demonstrated that they understand the insurance and financial service industry and they have really great ideas about how Nationwide can engage consumers by leveraging some of our key brand assets such as the On Your Side customer experience," Nationwide’s Jennifer Hanley, senior vice president of marketing services, said in a statement.

"Nationwide is a brand with incredible opportunity in a highly-competitive and highly visible market," said Brad Brinegar, chairman and CEO of McKinney. "We look forward to a long and mutually-beneficial relationship with a terrific team of people."

Other high-profile clients of McKinney include Coldwell Banker, Gold's Gym, The NASDAQ Stock Market, Nike, Partnership for a Drug-Free America, Qwest Communications, Sherwin-Williams, Travelocity, Virgin Mobile USA and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
