Burlington police were investigating an early morning shooting Tuesday that resulted in the death of Shannon Antonio Allen, 28, of 909 Stokes St.

<b>BURLINGTON, N.C.</b> — Burlington police were investigating an early morning shooting Tuesday that resulted in the death of Shannon Antonio Allen, 28, of 909 Stokes St.

Police found Allen at about 2 a.m. near the intersection of South Church Street and Huffman Mill Road. He had multiple gunshot wounds, according to a statement from Greg Seel, assistant chief of police.

Allen was pronounced dead on arrival at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Burlington Police Department at 919-229-3500 or Crime Stoppers at 919-229-7100.
