RALEIGH, N.C. — Two vehicles were struck by gunfire in the area of Rock Quarry and Cross Link roads at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, Raleigh police said.

According to police, one of the drivers had her two-year-old daughter in the backseat of her car.

The drivers, not realizing their vehicles were hit, kept driving to their destinations, which is when they called police, authorities said.

Tiffany Miller lives down the road and said she heard commotion Wednesday night.

"We were just sitting in our home watching TV," she said. "That is when we heard a lot of noise, and we saw police officers and stuff like that."

No injuries were reported.

Police do not believe the vehicles were intended targets or that an active shooter is involved.
