PITTSBORO, N.C. — Two Raleigh brothers have been arrested in the September death of a man whose body was found inside his burning home in Chatham County, authorities said Friday.

Manuel Nunez Garcia, 23, of 3244 Calumet Drive, Apt. A, and Luis Antonio-Nunez Garcia, 33, of 4304 Red Tail Court, were charged with first-degree murder and arson. They were being held without bond Friday in the Chatham County Detention Center.

A passing driver notified authorities about a mobile home fire at 638 Mitchell's Chapel Road, west of Pittsboro, on Sept. 15. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters located the body of Martin Catalan Uriostegui.

Uriostegui, 33, had been shot in the head with a small-caliber weapon, authorities said, and the fire was set to cover up the homicide.

Investigators said the killing was likely drug-related and wasn't part of any gang activity.
