Boyfriend charged in woman's shooting death

Officers responding to a reported shooting found Regina Boykin King, 38, on the floor of her home at 625 McLamb Drive, off Murchison Road, at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday, Fayetteville police said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Friday charged a Fayetteville man with the shooting death of his girlfriend.

Officers responding to a reported shooting found Regina Boykin King, 38, on the floor of her home at 625 McLamb Drive, off Murchison Road, at about 10:40 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Efforts to revive King were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, police said.

Michael Anderson, 29, also of 625 McLamb Drive, was charged with first -degree murder in her death. He was being held without bond Friday in the Cumberland County Jail.
