CLAYTON, N.C. — A boil water advisory for the Cleveland community was lifted Saturday, officials said.

The advisory was issued after a construction contractor broke a large water main on N.C. Highway 42 near Interstate 40 Friday morning, officials said.

An area of the Johnston County water system in the Cleveland community was out of service until about 3 p.m. Friday while utility crews isolated and repaired the break.
