LAWRENCE, N.C. — A boil-water advisory was lifted for all customers on the Edgecombe County Water System Saturday.

Tests for coliform bacteria came back negative, county officials said.

The advisory was issued in late July after water samples tested positive for the bacteria, which are an indicator that other, potentially harmful bacteria might be present.
