<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — Goldsboro police found the dead body of a man Sunday just after midnight in the yard of a vacant home.

Police sent the body of Donald Ray Battle, 48, to the Medical Examiners Office at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville for an autopsy and opened an investigation into his death

 Battle was found at 1510 Dakota Ave. His last known address was 200 Hack Drive in Dudley.

Anyone with information about Battle's death is asked to call the Goldsboro Police Department at 919-580-4218.
