Blockbuster video store in Fayetteville robbed

Fayetteville police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who robbed a Blockbuster video store, at 4116 Raeford Road, on Dec. 4.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are seeking the public's help to identify a man who robbed a Blockbuster video store, at 4116 Raeford Road, on Dec. 4.

Surveillance camera footage shows the man entered the store around 9 p.m. and walked around as if he were going to rent a movie.

Police said he then went up to the counter and demanded the clerk empty her register. He held his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun. He fled after getting money.

Police described him as a black man, 20 to 25 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He wore a black sweat suit with horizontal, white stripes on the sleeves.
