— A Raleigh teenager is charged with breaking into more than a dozen cars on the day after his 16th birthday. 

A neighbor identified Khawan Tyrell Dixon, of 1623 Proctor Road, as a suspect in the break-ins of 15 cars in an area off Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh on Saturday. 

According to the warrant for his arrest, Dixon had turned 16 the day before, qualifying him to be charged as an adult in the crime. He faces multiple counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny. He was being held at the Wake County Jail on $25,000 secured bond.

    thieves are to be handled harshly at all times.
    only way to correct them. just keep sending them

    This is the first crime he has ever committed Moran's .... he just happened to be hanging with the wrong crowd and I can assure you all this will be his last offense, he definitely learned his lesson!!

    Who you calling "boy?" This kid might have been arrested many times before for doing just this same thing but he would have been a minor and we will never know. I wonder if the 2 days really matter that much? Should we have treated him more harshly at 15 or less harshly now?

    What can we do to set a young person straight? One thing for sure, is that crime can't pay and it does pay right now.
