Birthday boy caught in Raleigh car break-ins

A Raleigh teenager is charged with breaking into more than a dozen cars on the day after his 16th birthday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh teenager is charged with breaking into more than a dozen cars on the day after his 16th birthday. 

A neighbor identified Khawan Tyrell Dixon, of 1623 Proctor Road, as a suspect in the break-ins of 15 cars in an area off Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh on Saturday. 

According to the warrant for his arrest, Dixon had turned 16 the day before, qualifying him to be charged as an adult in the crime. He faces multiple counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony larceny. He was being held at the Wake County Jail on $25,000 secured bond.
