Bicycle-riding robbers shoot Rocky Mount man
A Rocky Mount man told police that two men on a bike shot and robbed him along Dexter Street early Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedOfficers responded to calls about a shooting around 1:45 a.m. They found Lanorris Smalls lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his neck.
Smalls was transported to Nash General Hospital and transferred to Pitt County Memorial Hospital. He was listed in stable condition Monday, police said.
Smalls told police that he was walking when two men on a bike approached him. One man shot and robbed him, and they both fled on the bike, police said.
Investigators have not identified any suspects in the robbery.
