Benson man faces drug, weapons charges
A man faces felony drug and weapons charges this week after claiming a vehicle involved in a northern Sampson County wreck.

Gary Lewis Davis, 25, last known address 711 Apt. C.S. Whitting St. in Benson, was arrested on Monday after the car was found to contain cocaine and a handgun.
Davis was also charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for the storage of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and driving while his license was revoked.
Davis also faces hit and run charges.
He was being held Thursday afternoon at the Sampson County Detention Center under a $101,500 bond.
