BB gunshots rattle Wakefield residents
Raleigh police are investigating reports of BB gun shots in the Wakefield community after receiving numerous calls from concerned residents.
Posted — UpdatedNeighbors say the shots have shattered windows. One of the reports came from the parking lot of a shopping center across the street from the Rex Wellness Center.
A woman, who did not want to be identified because she feared retaliation, took pictures of a box found in the parking lot that was packaging for a BB rifle.
“A lot of people are really nervous right now because who’s to say it’s not going to escalate, or someone that’s carrying a real gun isn’t to think (the BB gun shooters) are carrying a real gun,” the woman said.
Police said no arrests have been made and they are not sure the three incidents are related.
