HOPE MILLS, N.C. — Hope Mills police released surveillance images Tuesday of two men they believe robbed an RBC Centura Bank shortly before 4 p.m.

The images show two black men with cell phones up to their ears enter the bank.

Police said the same men approached a teller and demanded money. They left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and walked across the street toward the John Smith Road area.

A late-model red or maroon Pontiac Bonneville may have been used in the robbery, police said.

Both men were about 18 to 20 years old, between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-8 and 130 to 150 pounds. One was wearing a Dodgers baseball cap, Ecko pullover hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The other was wearing a baseball cap with "LA" written on it, a dark-colored zip-up jacket and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 910-429-3519.
