Bank robber sought in Cary

Witnesses said the suspect robbed the bank and then fled in a dark blue Ford SUV with a roof rack and minor damage to the rear bumper. An additional suspect was driving the car.

CARY, N.C. — Cary police are seeking information about a bank robbery Monday afternoon.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., Cary police were called to Wachovia Back at 10050 Green Level Church Road to investigate a robbery.

Witnesses said the suspect robbed the bank and then fled in a dark blue Ford SUV with a roof rack and minor damage to the rear bumper. An additional suspect was driving the car.

He was described as tall black man with a medium build, wearing dark jeans, a leather jacket and black toboggan hat.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Cary police at 919-469-4324 or Crime Stoppers at 919-226-CRIME. Crime Stoppers offers rewards up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.
