Two baby raccoons found at the intersection of Lake Wheeler and Ten Ten roads in southern Wake County have tested positive for rabies, Wake County Animal Control officials said Thursday.

Two baby raccoons found at the intersection of Lake Wheeler and Ten Ten roads in southern Wake County have tested positive for rabies, Wake County Animal Control officials said Thursday.

Officers were called to the intersection Tuesday, and one of them was scratched by one of the raccoons, officials said.

The officer is receiving treatment for the scratch, officials said.
