Autopsy: Goldsboro motel worker shot in forehead

Posted March 2, 2010

—  A woman killed at a Goldsboro motel in December was shot once in the forehead, according to an autopsy report released Tuesday.

The bodies of Bhavanaben Patel, 61, and her husband, Suryakant Patel, 65, were found in a room of America's Best Value Inn, 701 U.S. Highway 70 Bypass, on Dec. 14. The couple worked at the motel and lived in the room, authorities said.

An earlier autopsy determined that Suryakant Patel had been shot several times.

Police and agents with the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating both deaths.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Goldsboro/Wayne Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255 or Goldsboro police at 919-580-4211.

ColtsFan2009..... You beat me to it. I would think that would have been the first thing noticed before the bodies were even removed from the scene.
