LOUISBURG, N.C. — A Louisburg man has been charged after Franklin County authorities say he severely beat a woman and left her in a car.

Timothy Todd Medlin, who lives on Ronald Tharrington Road, is charged with assault and assault inflicting serious injury.

According to investigators, Medlin assaulted the woman at her home and left her in a car on Ronald Tharrington Road on Sunday near an abandoned house.
