<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — Wake County authorities halted their search Saturday afternoon for a 53-year-old man who went missing from a home in the 400 block of Normandy Street in Cary. 

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons canceled its Silver Alert for Jerry Michael Smith at about 2:30 p.m., 12 hours after it was issued. 

No other information about Smith's disappearance was released.
